The Entertainment Industry Incubator, Inc., is an 11 year old, Florida arts 501(C)(3) not-for-profit dedicated to furthering the growth of local entertainment based organizations and individual artists.  The Incubator has worked closely with the community and, as a result, has become a facilitator and clearinghouse for information and resources.  We have helped produce and promote the development of local talent for artistic and economic gain by training media artists and filmmakers in our community.  Our two highly acclaimed competitions, one for film and the other for music, were designed to flush out and showcase local talent to senior industry executives in order to help these artists further their career goals.  Today the Incubator holds regular networking breakfasts, hosts a series of seminars, has a weekly e-newsletter and maintains this community based web site.

Now in its twelfth year, the Incubator launched its newest signature program; the Miami Filmmaker Project (MFP), an initiative in support of independent filmmaking in South Florida.  The MFP consists of intensive, hands-on, integrated programs with nationally recognized visiting filmmakers serving as mentors and offering structured assistance in bringing specific high-quality projects to the screen.  Click here to read about the Project’s Advisory Board of award-winning film industry leaders and here to read about the upcoming Screenwriters Lab for 2010.

The Entertainment Industry Incubator is funded by grants, fully tax–deductible donations, event entrance fees, sponsorships, advertising and in-kind contributions. The Incubator receives support from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
